What is Laser Facial Vein Removal?
Coolglide Laser is used for treatment of unwanted facial veins, broken capillaries, hemangiomas, and other types of vascular lesions. Because these lesions have color, they absorb the laser energy which damages the lesion itself. This causes the targeted area to shrink without damaging the surrounding skin. Most patients say the treatment feels like pin pricks but is quite tolerable. Other than some redness and a slight possibility of swelling or bruising, there is no down time related to this treatment. Depending on the size of the area being treated, multiple sessions may be necessary.
Varilite is very similar to the Coolglide treatment. In general, we use the Coolglide for larger veins and vessels and Varilite for smaller ones. Your technician will examine the area and let you know which option best suits your needs.
