Face Lift and Neck Lift
in Winnipeg, Manitoba at The First Glance
In time, the effects of gravity, sun exposure, heredity, and the basic stresses of life are revealed on the face. Elasticity fades, we experience volume loss, and there’s a shift in the position of deep anatomical structures, including neck muscles, cheek fat, and the muscles around the eyes, leaving us with wrinkles, deep lines, and sagging faces. Sagging skin along the jawline, neck, and chin gives one the appearance of premature aging, weight gain, and overall fatigue.
Men and women ages 35 and older have been seeking facelift procedures for over seventy years. The latest surgery techniques remove excess skin, excess fat, and tighten facial muscles to eliminate most wrinkling and sagging. With the benefits of Face and Neck Lift surgery, you can enjoy natural, dramatic, and longer-lasting results with minimal downtime.
Early signs of aging can often be addressed with a “liquid facelift” using injectable fillers. For more advanced signs of aging and longer-lasting results, Face and Neck Lift surgery is often the right choice.

Your Custom Face And Neck Lift Treatment Plan
When it comes to aesthetic surgery of any kind, there’s no such thing as one size fits all. Every patient has their own unique surgical needs. Whether you are interested in a subtle natural look or dramatic results, your Face and Neck Lift will be fully customized according to your existing facial anatomy, unique surgical requirements, and desired aesthetic results.
Face and Neck Lift Surgery
The Face and Neck Lift procedure consists of separating the facial skin from the underlying fat and muscles, eliminating excess fat to contour and tighten facial and neck muscles. Facial skin is repositioned, and any excess skin is removed.
The result is a beautifully lifted facial structure with smoother, tighter skin. Incisions are typically placed within the hairline starting at the temples, running along the natural skin fold in front of the ear, continuing around the bottom of the lobe, behind the ear and into the hairline. All incisions are strategically placed to be invisible or nearly invisible upon healing. A facelift will not remove forehead lines, bags under your eyes, or crows feet.
Choosing Your Surgeon
When considering a surgeon, it’s important to research all of your options and choose a Facial Surgery specialist who is Board Certified in both Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. While many plastic surgeons perform Face and Neck Lift surgery, you should select a surgeon who focuses strictly on facial plastic surgery and is recognized for excellence in this procedure.
What are the benefits if your surgeon has a reconstructive surgery background?
Most of the world’s best aesthetic surgeons began with reconstructive practices. In fact, almost all of the groundbreaking techniques in aesthetic surgery have reconstructive origins. Reconstructive surgery cases are typically more complex and often require highly specialized surgical techniques. Comfort, confidence, and predictability with advanced reconstructive surgery techniques have become powerful tools often adapted to aesthetic procedures.
At the First Glance Aesthetic Clinic & Surgery Centre, all of our surgeons are Board Certified Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons, which is the highest level of achievement a Plastic Surgeon in Canada can obtain.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Recovery Like After Face and Neck Lift Surgery?
As with most aesthetic surgeries, you will need to take time to recover. The recovery period will be different for each patient depending on the extent of the surgery and the patient’s health.
After Face and Neck Lift surgery, it is recommended to have someone help you for the first 1 to 2 days after surgery. It’s ideal to have someone who can assist you when walking to the bathroom and help you with the cold compressions and your additional needs during recovery. You will need to return to The First Glance for post-operative visits to monitor your progress. It’s important to attend your follow up visits to be certain you are caring for your delicate facial skin properly. A few more return visits will be scheduled within the next year to ensure all of your concerns and questions are addressed.
What Is The Cost Of Face and Neck Lift Surgery?
Every Face and Neck Lift is a customized procedure, so the cost can vary significantly. In general, the cost of Face and Neck Lift surgery ranges from $15,000 to $25,000. The exact cost is determined by your existing facial anatomy and desired aesthetic results.
The surgeon you decide to work with is the #1 determining factor on the results you’re going to achieve. Plastic Surgeons price their procedures according to the quality care and surgical skills they bring to their patients. Seeking a surgeon based on price often leads to undesirable results, and the problems that come along with it are often complex (and costly) to fix. Ask anyone who has undergone revision surgery; it’s a lot less expensive to get it done right the first time.
The extent of your procedure will determine the exact cost. If you require additional surgical time to achieve your desired aesthetic results, that will be reflected in your quote.
You will receive an exact quote after your consultation with your Plastic Surgeon. Quotes are valid for 6 months from the date they are printed.
To reserve your consultation, call our Patient Coordinator at The First Glance Aesthetic Clinic & Surgery Centre (204) 885-1419.
Is Financing Available?
Yes, we work with a credit company called MediCard that specializes in financing options for aesthetic surgery. It’s easy and fast to apply. You can apply with MediCard online or over the phone. Once you are approved, you can go forward with securing your surgery date.
MediCard is not your only option for financing. You can also contact your bank to see if they can offer you lower interest rates.
If you would like to learn more about your financing options, please call one of our Patient Coordinators at (204) 885-1419 for more details.
What Will I Look Like And Feel Like After My Face and Neck Lift?
If bruising or swelling appears, it will usually occur within the first few weeks. Resting with the head elevated and applying cold compressions will help to minimize these conditions. Your Board Certified Facial Surgeon will prescribe medication to control any discomfort.
For the first week after surgery, your activity should be restricted to avoid bending over or getting your heart rate above its resting rate. You may be asked to wear a facial garment or wrap. Certain sutures may be removed within a couple of weeks, you may resume non-strenuous activities, more sutures are removed, and puffiness will continue to subside.
After 4 to 6 weeks you may resume normal activity if permitted by your surgeon. Your results will continue to improve for 6 to 12 months.
What Are The Risks Involved?
Face Lifts and Neck Lifts are popular procedures performed by our Facial Surgeons at The First Glance.
During your consultation, your Board Certified Facial Surgeon and his expert medical team will clearly outline all of the necessary precautions you need to take, as well as any postoperative limitations you should follow.
Your surgeon and his team of medical experts will take every necessary precaution to minimize any risks involved with your surgery.
Can I Get The Same Results From a Liquid Facelift With Injectables?
No. A Liquid Facelift can minimize the visible effects of aging; however, only a surgical facelift can resolve excessive sagging facial skin, drooping jowls, a double chin, or deep wrinkles, folds, and lines.
How Long Is The Wait For Surgery?
On average, the wait time is about two months from the time of your consultation.
If you have a preferred surgery date, don’t wait until it’s too late. Call (204) 885-1419 and speak to one of our Patient Coordinators to reserve your consultation today.
