Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Nose)

Many of us are self-conscious about our noses. Its right in the middle of our faces and everyone can see it. The perfect nose is a nose that is in proportion with your features.

Nose jobs (Rhinoplasty) typically involve surgically altering and correcting the structure of the nose. This may be to correct a bumpy, round or flat nose, or other imperfections that may bother a person. Nose jobs can be expensive and require a lengthy recovery period. Fortunately, a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty could be the answer.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty involves the use of dermal fillers like Restylane and Perlane to improve and refine the nose.  This procedure is not for everyone. It cannot make the nose smaller, and does not replace a surgical Rhinoplasty. It is a temporary solution. It is ideal for patients who want to build-up the bridge of their noses, patients who want to refine the results of a Rhinoplasty, correct asymmetry and concavities, or want to add dimension or improve the shape of the nasal tip. It can also smooth or straighten out the nasal hump.

What is the downtime to a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

There is no downtime after the procedure and it is virtually painless. There may be a possibility of some minor bruising or redness, but make-up can minimize these effects. The procedure takes about 15-30 minutes with a topical anaesthetic and you are able to return to work right after and continue your day.

Are there any risks to a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

A non-surgical Rhinoplasty is a very safe cosmetic procedure but it should be performed by a Plastic Surgeon who understands the anatomy of the nose inside and out. This will ensure you have the safest and most-natural looking outcome.

There are many benefits to this type of procedure. Since the injections are temporary, if you are unhappy with the improvement, the result will fade and a new approach can be used. Dermal fillers are versatile, so a delicate and very specific improvement can be achieved and the results are immediately visible after the procedure. The procedure is done in the clinic and no anaesthesia is required. You are awake throughout the entire procedure.

This procedure is not permanent and you will need to return approximately every 6-12 months for touch-ups. One of the benefits of this procedure is that it is reversible is most cases. A special enzyme known as Hyaluronidase can be injected into the treated area within the first 24 hours. This enzyme immediately dissolves HA fillers.
