venus lake before and after

Are you tired of caking on makeup to hide your noticeable nasal veins? Embarrassed by cheeks that are full of visible vessels? You’re not alone, every day people of all ages and skin types feel ashamed of their facial veins. Don’t cover vascular lesions …. eliminate them with our new Fotona Facial Vein Treatment.

What is the Fotona Facial Vein Laser?

This is a non-invasive treatment not only targets nasal and cheek vessels, but also removes hemangiomas, vascular malformations such as port-wine stains, telangiectasias, venous lakes and angiomas. The Fotona Facial Vein Treatment uses a long-pulse for treating vascular lesions. It penetrates to a depth of 5-6 mm into the skin, allowing for highly effective treatments in minutes with zero down time.

How Does the Fotona Facial Vein Laser Work?

The targeted chromophore for vascular lesions is intravascular oxyhemoglobin; thus, thermal damage is largely restricted to cutaneous blood vessels. The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat, and the vein walls are subsequently destroyed. In comparison with other wavelengths, which mainly affect the surface layers of a lesion, Nd:YAG light also targets the underlying vascular feeding system, which is important for ensuring the long-term efficacy the treatment. This process is perfectly safe as other healthy veins supply blood to the treated area and the body’s immune system clears away the dead tissue just as with a bruise.

What Can I Expect Post Treatment?

Each person is different, but during the treatment you can expect minimal to mild discomfort. Immediately following the treatment, you may experience some redness and sun burn like sensation, depending on your customized treatment settings. Most patients can resume their daily activities immediately as the mild redness and sunburn like sensation will only last for a few hours. Some more aggressive treatments may have redness and mild swelling for 2-3 days. It is best to avoid direct sun for a few days following the treatment and to apply sun screen at all times while outdoors.
