This is a simple, non-invasive treatment that helps minimize “ice pick” scars, get improvement on certain types of acne scarring, fills in unwanted piercing holes and reduces the size of inverted pores. There are a variety uses for this  treatment that came to us from Asia. This simple technique is very effective with minimal to no risk, or downtime and is pain-free.

How is Cross TCA done?

After the area is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, a circular wooden stick that has been immersed with TCA solution is inserted into the scar and rotated to ensure that the entire area has been saturated. This creates a controlled wound that helps to “close up” the scarring from the inside out by creating new collagenformation. The collagen formation can take a minimum of 4-6 weeks to show results. More than one Cross TCA treatment may be needed, depending on the depth of the scar and how well your skin responds to the Cross TCA treatment.

What are the risks and recovery like after Cross TCA?

It is very safe procedure. The area will take 5-10 days to heal and there is minimal after care for the patient to do. If you have any questions or would like to book in for the Cross TCA treatment or consultation please contact The First Glance Clinic via email or phone and one of our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
