Laser Vein Treatments with Coolglide and Varilite

We use two different types of Laser Vein Treatments to treat small spider veins on the legs. This can be done after your varicose vein treatment, or as an alternative to treat those pesky spider veins.

CoolGlide aesthetic systems combine the ideal laser wavelength with the most flexible parameters to deliver a superior vascular laser system. They treat a broad range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins quickly, safely and effectively. Patients with dark, light or tanned skin can experience outstanding results with minimal bruising or blistering.

CoolGlide systems deliver pulses of light energy, which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel, which is later reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be.

CoolGlide systems can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. Knotty varicose veins are not good candidates.

Following your treatment, some redness or bruising may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks or months following treatment. Patients who have leg vein treatments are advised to wear medical grade compression hose for 1 week following treatment.

The VariLite laser system is the perfect solution to treat a broad range of skin conditions from facial vessels, spider veins, cherry angiomas, skin tags, and many more. These lesions can be caused from the sun, extreme hot or cold climates, allergies, sinus problems, rosacea, etc.

This treatment is ideal for smaller vessels on the face or body.  It’s a quick, effective treatment and is virtually painless.

Varilite is a dual laser system. It generates light directly onto the treatment site, and the light is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin (bright red blood cells that carry oxygen) and melanin (black or brown skin pigment). Heat from the light breaks down the unwanted cells, but it leaves the healthy cells intact.

Lesions usually respond to 1-3 treatments, about 2- 6 weeks apart, depending on the area and type of lesion it is. All the risks and benefits will be clearly outlined during your consultation.

As with all procedures, you may need to take time to recover. The recovery period is different for each patient depending on the type of treatment, area of the body, and the patient’s health.

After the VariLite laser treatment, you may experience some redness and minor swelling in the treatment area; however, it should subside within a few hours. You can resume all your normal daily activities immediately following your treatment.
