Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian Butt Lift is an easy and natural way to enhance your buttock area. The fat transfer method used by Dr. Anthony Lockwood and Dr. Avi Islur is less invasive, requires less recovery time and is an overall a more effective procedure than many other fat transfer methods. The Brazilian Butt Lift is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the buttock appears lifted and perky. An additional benefit of this fat injection method is that you not only get a more shapely buttock, but the area we harvest the fat for your buttock from is now much leaner, giving your profile a more curvaceous look. Doctors prefer the Brazilian Butt Lift over Butt Implants, as the combination of liposuction and fat injections produce the most attractive and natural profile. Another preferred benefit of this surgery is that they use your own fat which is an organic material.

The Beauty of the Brazilian Butt Lift

Although the procedure is called Brazilian Butt Lift a sculpting pf the buttocks, the love handles, flanks and tummy usually occurs when harvesting fat for this procedure.. The most important thing in this procedure is not to get the “biggest butt”, but to create the best looking waist-hip-buttock area. When patients bring in pictures of what they want to look like, invariably the models shown have small waists and a curvy transition between the lower back and butt. The butt doesn’t have to be that large as long as that transition area has a nice looking curve. With the Brazilian Butt Lift the increased contrast between the lower back and the buttock itself, as well as the curvy transition between them, enhance the appearance of the buttock. If you then augment the buttock with fat taken from the love handles area, the results can be spectacular.

What is the recovery period after a Brazilian Butt Lift?

As with most cosmetic surgeries, you will need to take time to recover. The recovery period will be different for each patient depending on the extent of the surgery and the patient’s health.

After the Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery, you will be asked to avoid any direct pressure on your butt for two weeks. For two weeks you should not sit directly on your butt. You should sleep on your stomach. You can sit down for short periods of time if needed. When you sit you need to be seated on a soft pillow or cushion. It is important that the fat cells that have been transferred to your buttock area are treated extremely gently. They have been traumatized during the liposuction and injection and are very fragile. And they must be allowed to survive until your body establishes blood vessels in the new areas of fat. It is essential that blood flow is established to bring in nutrients and oxygen to these fat cells. Not all fat cells survive, therefore you will need to wait for 3 months to see the final results.
