This 52 year old patient has just undergone the Varilite Treatment. The before and after photos were taken the same day as the treatment.

The Varilite laser system is the perfect solution to treat a broad range of skin conditions from facial vessels, spider veins, cherry angiomas, skin tags, and many more. These lesions can be caused from the sun, extreme hot or cold climates, allergies, sinus problems, rosacea, etc. The Varilite treatment is ideal for smaller vessels on the face or body.  It’s a quick, effective treatment and is virtually painless.

How is Varilite performed?

A patient getting a VariLite treatment.

Varilite is a dual laser system. It generates light directly onto the treatment site, and the light is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin (bright red blood cells that carry oxygen) and melanin (black or brown skin pigment). Heat from the light breaks down the unwanted cells, but it leaves the healthy cells intact.

What is the downtime like after Varilite?

After the Varilite laser treatment, you may experience some redness and minor swelling in the treatment area; however, it should subside within a few hours. You can resume all your normal daily activities immediately following your treatment.

How many teratments of Varilite will I need?

Lesions usually respond to 1-3 treatments, about 2- 6 weeks apart, depending on the area and type of lesion it is. All the risks and benefits will be clearly outlined during your consultation.

What are the risks to Varilite?

The key to any treatment is to follow the proper post care instructions given to you by your medical professional. However, as with any laser treatment there are some possible risks and side effects. These include redness, swelling, post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, and poor healing possibly resulting in disruptions of the skin tissue.
