Laser Genesis Patient #1

This 56 year old patient was concerned about redness, rosacea, facial vessels and cherry anginoma on his forehead. We treated the patient 4 times with Laser Genisis© treatments, along with some Cool Glide ND: Yag© laser for the cherry anginoma. The after photo was taken 4 weekd post treatment.

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser treatment from Cutera. It is an ideal treatment used to help reduce signs of pre-mature aging, and redness in the skin that can be caused from hyper sensitive skin, acne or rosacea. Laser Genesis can also improve the texture of your skin by minimizing pores, smoothing fine lines and softening minor scarring.

Laser Genesis is typically performed on the face, neck and chest, but can also be used on other part of the body to improve the appearance of some scars.

How does Laser Genesis work?

Laser Genesis delivers heat energy gently into the deeper layers of the skin, increasing collagen production. The laser energy is absorbed by the dilated capillaries and blood vessels reducing redness. This is a very tolerable treatment and there is no need for topical anaesthetics.

A series of 3-4 treatments spaced out every 2-3 weeks is recommended for optimal results. Laser Genesis is a safe treatment to do throughout the year. This treatment is quite comfortable and effective with minimal to no downtime.

Are there any risks to Laser Genesis?

The key to any treatment is to follow the proper post care instructions given to you by your medical professional. The most common side-effects of this treatment are slight flushing of the skin shortly after the treatment which generally calms down within a few hours and occasional swelling which can last 48-72 hours.
