Butt Lift #1

How is a Butt Lift surgery performed?
Dr. Lockwood will make an incision just above the upper buttocks, and segments of skin, tissue and fat are removed from the area. The remaining tissue is then lifted and sutured together to achieve a tighter, firmer buttock area. This procedure is often combined with Liposuction to receive the best results.

This cosmetic surgery is done under general anesthesia in our state of the art surgical center located at our clinic. A Butt Lift can take 2-3 hours depending on the extent of the surgery. You will be able to return home the same day.

What is the recovery period like after a Butt Lift surgery?
As with most cosmetic surgeries, you will need to take time to recover. The recovery period will be different for each patient depending on the extent of the surgery, and the patient’s health. After a butt lift surgery, you will need to take 1-2 weeks to recover. You can expect to have some swelling, minor bruising and discomfort, but this will diminish within the first few weeks. A compression garment must be worn to help reduce swelling in the area. You will be required to sleep on your stomach, and avoid sitting or bending forward for the first 2 weeks. You can return to work after 1-2 weeks, depending on your job and how well you’re healing. No heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for 4-6 weeks. It could take 4-6 months to achieve your final result.

Are there any risks to a Butt Lift?
During your consultation, Dr. Lockwood and his expert medical team will clearly outline all of the necessary precautions you need to take, as well as any postoperative limitations you should follow. Any risks and benefits will be discussed in full detail. Dr. Lockwood and his staff take every necessary precaution to minimize any risk involved with all surgeries or cosmetic procedures.
